Haidyn’s Senior Session at Fort Fisher – With Ice Cream, Sunshine, and Ocean Waves…

I was so excited when Haidyn told me she wanted to be photographed at Fort Fisher! It’s one of my favorite locations and I knew it would be the perfect backdrop for her senior session.

Before we headed to Fort Fisher, we made a very important stop. This ice cream-loving girl wanted her favorite treat: chocolate ice cream with sprinkles! I love incorporating seniors’ favorite things into their sessions, and as you can see from the photos, this beauty loves her ice cream! It was the perfect, sweet start to a truly magical shoot.

Once the last bite was gone, we made our way to Fort Fisher, where the golden sun wrapped Haidyn in the dreamiest glow. Haidyn looked absolutely radiant and was a natural in front of the camera.

At the end of her session, I asked Haidyn if there were any other shots she wanted before we finished the session. Without hesitation, she said “YES!” and told me she wanted to get in the water. I reminded her how cold it was—and that she had a long ride back to Raleigh—but she just smiled and said, “It’s ok!” So she went for it! I love this girl!

As Haidyn sat on the beach, letting the waves crash around her, I could hear her laughter echoing above the water. It was such a carefree, joy-filled moment—one I’ll never forget.

Haidyn, I hope you always laugh like you did that day. You radiate joy, and it was an honor to document this milestone for you. Wishing you all the best as you head to Appalachian State next year.
