Michelle and I first met in 1991 at Saint Mary’s College in Raleigh. We have remained close friends throughout the years and I was thrilled when she reached out to inquire about me taking her son Jack’s senior pictures.

Michelle wanted Jack’s senior picture taken but she also wanted to incorporate a family shoot. I love this idea because once your child goes off to college it’s hard getting the family together for any length of time, especially for a photo shoot.

Michelle and Jack, along with her husband Matt, and daughter Max made the trip to Wrightsville Beach and we set off for Temple Garden. Temple Garden is the perfect setting especially this time of year. The garden was gorgeous and in full bloom which made the perfect backdrop for this beautiful family.

After the garden, we headed to the always fabulous Wrightsville Beach. It was a beautiful evening and we had a blast taking pictures! It was so awesome visiting with Michelle and her family. I’m thrilled that we all made memories on this day and we sure shared a lot of laughs.

Jack…I can’t wait for this next chapter to begin for you. I also can’t wait to hear which college you choose. You’re going to meet lifelong friends and have so much fun, and oh and you’ll learn a thing or two as well! You are the exact age your Mom and I were when we first met! Oh… to be able to go back and do it all over again! Wishing you all the very best! Enjoy every moment because college happens fast!
